Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies
An elevated version of the classic chocolate chip cookie.
Ingredients
1 ¼ C Salted Butter
1 C Sugar
1 ¼ C Light Brown Sugar
⅓ C Sourdough Starter Discard
2 Large Eggs
3 ½ C All Purpose Flour
1 ¼ Tsp Baking Soda
1 ¼ Tsp Baking Powder
2 Tsp Kosher Salt
3 C Chocolate Chips
Finishing Salt (I like Maldon)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Cream butter and sugars.
Mix in sourdough discard.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
Mix dry and wet ingredients.
Chill for 4 hours in the fridge.
Scoop with a cookie scoop. Place onto baking sheet and sprinkle with finishing salt.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
