Gingersnaps
Makes about 48 cookies.
Ingredients
1 C sugar
¾ C butter
1 egg
¼ C molasses
2 C flour
2 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground cloves
¼ tsp ground ginger
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°.
Cream sugar and butter. Beat in egg and molasses.
Stir in remaining ingredients until well mixed.
If desired, chill dough for easier handling. Shape into balls, roll balls in sugar.
Bake 9 to 12 minutes.
